Well, I have watched "Smith and Jones", the Doctor Who Series Three opener.

Phew.

I'm always going to be a wee bit emo over Rose's departure, but I loved it and I already like Martha very much.

Once again? Phew.

martha, doctor who, emo over rose

LOL at your icon - it's pretty much the coolest.

I know so many people into Doctor Who, but I've never watched it myself. Well, maybe once. For like, five mins. But that's about the extent of my knowledge about it.

David Tennant's in it, yeah? And he was in GoF! *squees*

Isn't it pretty? The Tenth Doctor wears Converse, you see, and he wore his red ones tonight. *g*

David Tennant is indeed the Doctor, and he's totally fabulous. And it was very cool seeing him up on the big screen in GoF. *grins*

I haven't watched the new episode of Who yet :( Hopefully, I'll watch it tomorrow.

Your icon is amazing, btw! Did you make it yourself?

Yay Doctor Who! I was pleasantly relieved to discover that Martha has some ass-kicking potential, and I was happy to see that the Doctor is still very much carrying the loss of Rose (heretofore known as 'emo over rose'). Because I'm still emo over Rose too, and it would have been kind of insult if he was over it, or seemed over it. I'm excited for this season.

She is very different and yet the same in many ways, and this pleases me. The one thing I liked very much about the whole episode is that it was as though he was interviewing her for a job, and he was so pleased every time she jumped through yet another (unbeknownst to her!) hoop. *g*

Yeah, she's smart and tough and snarky, but in a totally different way than Rose was. I'm with you.

I liked the job interview thing too, although what I LOVED was his insistence that she's only coming on one ride. That's she not the new Rose. His previous interviewing undercuts that, subconsciously he was looking for a new companion, but when the Martha-is-the-new-Rose possibility is made explicit to him, he freaks out a little and backtracks. It's SO GOOD.

Like the footwear (obviously!)

Glad that there's potential in the new companion.

Yay! I'm officially smitten with Dr Who again, thanks to the new companion :thumbsup. Sorry, but I was never that keen on Rose...so I won't go into any 'Bard' quotations about roses.
