to the cell phone number she’d put on his patient file as an emergency contact
Good explanation for where he got that.

he wonders how she can sound so strong when he feels as though he’s breaking.
For some reason, that line just made me go "awww...poor baby".

Until he sees for himself that she’s all right, he can’t move onto the next part of the plan. For Lincoln’s sake, if nothing else, he needs to do this.
Wow is that some justification there, buddy.

suggests more than once that maybe they should just go and throw stones at her bedroom window.
*giggle* I love outside!Linc. He's so much more fun than the man who was on Death Row.

Ooh...Michael's jealous of Kellerman. I like it. Because, really, the situation has to be too close to home for him to think objectively about it.

He pulled a gun on her. I can't believe he pulled a gun on her.

Ha! Payback's a bitch, isn't it, Kellerman?

she hears his thoughts - or perhaps they’re tattooed onto his forehead *snerk ( ... )

I couldn't resist. *g*

Get her to her father? Are you freakin' nuts, Michael? He's Company. Maybe not the same branch of the Company as Kellerman is. But! ::hops around in frustration/anticipation::

Poor boy. He doesn't have too many options, does he?

I love your writing style. It's gentle and quiet but so intense at the same time. I always have this suspense where I'm waiting for what will happen next. It's great. I get excited whenever I see a new fic from you.

This is so beatiuful Genevieve, how you've captured the tension and the chemistry between them, and Michael's feelings during the phone call is amazing. The end may be sad, but I think it's also hopeful.

And something, he tells himself, is always better than nothing.

So true! I loved this line.

Great job! I loved every bit.
