Richie officially in remission! w00t!!!

As of today, Richie is officially in remission. The bone marrow biopsy done exactly a week ago was clear...free of the mutant plasma cells which are the hallmark of multiple myeloma. There is still a small amount of M-Spike protein in his blood, but it's down to a fraction of what was there originally ( Read more... )

Congratulations! The power of belief, good karma, prayer, and of course Richie's hard work and your love, has paid off. We'll keep up our end during his next round of therepy.

Richie's got a surgery on Friday the 22nd. No it's not for the cancer, it's a benign condition that popped up coincidentally at the same time as he was diagnosed with the MM. Luckily CoH will be handling it...way better than having to deal with LA County. Unfortunately he will be recuperating from that on Saturday the 23rd. So unfortunately, no can go.
