That would probably make a great deal of sense. It's nice to see a con that knows what it's doing.
Now as for my weekend at Nerdapalooza Southeast...I only really saw devospice of Sudden Death, which is basically him, his Mac laptop and video projector. He was great in concert, as always. The whole crowd seemed to be made up of the other acts; each of them only had a 30 minute set limit, and there were a lot of them. And I stupidly had to pay for two one-day tickets instead of one two-day ticket. Ah, well, the proceeds go to a good charity...
First time I've ever been in a...well, "punk" club. Everyone was in black T's, except for some of the performers, and some emaciated, silicone-implanted girls who were there to torture the geeks with the sex they knew they'd never get. For their part, the geeks accepted this torture with good humor. I mean, when you have a pirate crew with tricorner hats and hooks rapping (makes as much sense as homies from the hood rapping, right?) you don't take a lot of stuff seriously.
