When I worked for an electrician we would get a service call every month for the electrician to push a button on a Ground Fault Interrupt outlet. That is it, he'd just have to push a button.
But the next time you lose heat, you'll check that switch first, and if it's flipped you'll feel brilliant!
Absolutely right! 11 years 11 months in this house and neither of us knew of this switch. I mean, who ever goes to the back of their cupboard for anything?
This morning P informed me that the radiators hadn't been on when he got up
**nods** been there, done that I have a gas furnace and one day I was in the den on my computer and it seemed like it was getting colder and colder..... At first I thought it might be my imagination given how cold it was outside, but then when I checked the thermostat it was evident that the furnace had not been kicking on.......... Thankfully they could come fix it. It was the igniter.
It was funny how both of us commented on it being colder that evening, but neither of us thought it might be the heating not working *shakes head*. At least we are all fixed now!!
