Hello! Of course! I am so glad you suggested it since I was feeling a little shy about approaching you ^.^

I had a fantastic time and I hope you enjoyed it too!

I stumbled upon your journal and I agree with many things that you say. I hope you do not mind that I am adding you as a friend. (I especially love that you put the "My other ride is a barouche." Haha. :D

Why thank you! I am so pleased you liked my profile goodies! I got such a kick out of that barouche one I had to put it there. I'd love to be friends with someone who has such amazing taste ;) :)

Haha, I could say the same about your taste! You put it there first! :D
I am going to add you.
Are you a fan of Charles Dickens' writings? I saw that you were reading a book about him...
And I recognize a few of your telly shows. I am going to begin both Sherlock and Once Upon a time and I have seen Master and Commander. I enjoy that movie much (especially because it has Russel Crowe in it!).

Oh yes! I love Charles Dickens! So far I have read Great Expectations, A Christmas Carol, Little Dorrit, and Bleak House, and loved them all!

I really want to do some sort of book challenge since it's his bicentenary this year and read all of his work. Quite a project, I know, but I think will be lots of fun!

Yay, I need some more tv buddies ;) Master and Commander was really great, I was amazed at how realistic it was... I'm not very familiar with Russel Crowe's other roles but he was very stirring in M&C.

Hello! I noticed your icon post in the Jane Austen community and that we have quite a few things in common. Would you mind if I added you? I haven't added before so I understand completely if not, just thought I'd ask. :)

Hey, I noticed you've got comments disabled on your journal - or is this just me?

Hi. I'm Becky. I don't make icons or graphics, but I appreciate what others make. I see we share many fandoms. I've only recently been able to get ahold of Doctor Who, and am currently watching series 1.

I made my roommate go to 221b Baker Street last month when she was visiting her parents in England. Having a picture of the door and of Speedy's Cafe is almost like being there, eh?

Hi there, Becky! It's so nice to meet you :) I think I've seen you around (definitely not because I occasionally stalk bbccostumedrama's member list... *cough*) and I'd love to be friends!

Ah, Doctor Who! Are you starting from New!Who or have you gone all the way back to the first doctor? I've been meaning to watch the old series but it's a really intimidating project to start. All those seasons!

That is so awesome!! It is! I would be tempted to photoshop myself in and hang it up on the wall or something :P

I'm starting with New!Who. I saw a compilation video on YouTube for the 50th anniversary, and some of of the old Doctors were strange. I watched the first 3 episodes of the new series (Christopher Eccleston) last December, and just finished season 1 today. It's silly and hokey but I love it. My friend only had the first 3 seasons, so I'll have to see who else I know that will lend me the rest.

Hooray for Downton Abbey. We are watching the episodes online because we can't wait until they air in the US in January.

Oh, good. It's all such cheesy 80s madness, I'm not sure I could get into it has much as I have the new series. Great! The first couple seasons are really silly but it gets into a better swing (or perhaps you just get used to it) later. And the CGI gets really good in the most recent seasons which is a relief.

Yes! It's absolutely ridiculous that there is such a gap before they show it in the US.
