I've pondered things like this as well, a what if Kate never died on NCIS and was in like a witness protection or something becoming Maura in the process. Lovely story.

I do love a good cross over from time to time. I've pondered a little myself as well. I like how you put Jane at a distance with Maura having to carefully bridge the gap. Maybe Maura will be able to share her secret one day with Jane.
