Oh thank you, I'm so glad you liked it! I was worried that Erik came across as too creepy. But I didn't want to change it because that's just how he ended up being characterized. I'm so glad you liked Charles and the setting as well. Thank YOU for setting this all up. I'd never done a five acts prompt before (and didn't realize that the fics written needed to be comment-fic and pretty short) so it was fun :)

maybe he must embraces the dark love and suffer less, if he realy want freedom and happiness for the others, he must try to find what happiness he can find in his cage

(sniff) Yes, poor Charles indeed. Why am I so awful to him?? I blame my twised muse. I like to think that he either escapes somehow with the help of his bamf!family or he somehow changes Erik... somehow... hm... I sense sequel possibilities..

i think as a writer too, that escaping will not help Charles or his family(unless they kill Erik) because he will comeback for Charles, and in doing so he will take revenge on his family for taking his love away. Erik will blame them.

The only real solution is for Charles to either

-accept his destiny and takes what it can find as a calm content
-change Erik's feeling from obsession to real love, this will demand Charles love him in return

-Charles achieving in some way that Erik'd turn him into a vampire himself in order to be with Magneto forever, and then he can do something about his situation. He will be different, but i think he would be able to care for his family properly and be an equal to Erik is not the same at being a slave.

well maybe you have an alternate 4th path, i really want to know what happens next.

Oh definitely. Escaping would not help Charles at all. It would just make things worse unless they do kill Erik... which would be very difficult indeed (Erik would certainly try to take revenge on them all.)

I think I have an alternate path, but its not a very happy one. I'm going to ponder about it some more because we don't know everything yet. If I do write more, I would explore what happened prior to this first, get some chapters out in some of the children's pov and Erik's. I suppose this drabble could also serve as a prelude of sorts.
