It was terrifying. Seriously, I'm a seasoned snow driver in small vehicles, I've traveled from PA to Central NY in a lightweight 2-door convertible in the middle of a snow storm and yet I have never been so concerned for my safety on the road as I was on Monday night. Nearly being hit by a bus combined with calling for help and having it full on denied...something about that complete on-my-ownness was very, very terrifying. Very. This side of the state simply needs to invest in the budget to handle snow and ice...some salt trucks and plows would go a LONG, LONG way!
Holy cats. We bailed early yesterday because I was watching the local mailing list and they were talking about 8" of snow and accidents. Hubby got stuck a couple of years ago and we learned from that.
