Oh it was the best! Something about it was so old and then again something about it was so young. Just lovely. I loved how everything was so independent -- checking into the hotel didn't require any human interaction whatsoever and even shopping for groceries was done using self-service checkouts. ...I'm a shy and quiet person, what can I say.
But yeah, it's definitely right up there with New York.
Ugh, I still have never been to New York! My cousin, who lives in Brooklyn, got married last October. I had to RSVP "no" because of work but then it turned out the wedding was actually right in the middle of the school's autumn break. *headdesk*
What I liked about Glasgow was how subtly artsy everything was. All the independent clothing and jewelry stores. <3
Oh, I'm SO glad you loved Glasgow. *chinhands* I have to say, I felt like an idiot for not realizing how hilly Scotland would be. But walking all over the place was definitely an amazing workout, and reading your description of your visit, however brief, puts me right back there. I'd love to see pictures if you have any to share! ♥
I'm so sorry you're having nasty dreams. My roommate went through a months-long stint of that, and I think she found that changing up her bedtime routine helped. Even if it was, like, just having a cup of tea before bed, or reading ten pages out of a book, or something like that. Making something different happen can sometimes change up the brainjuice to not be so nasty, I think? Either way, best of luck. D:
I'm used to walking a lot -- I do hours of it every single day thanks to owning a dog -- and I actually really love it, so it never bothers me if I have to walk someplace. We had no clue if any buses would've taken us to the SECC where we had to collect our tickets from, so we walked there. All in all, we walked five hours straight that day, but it's the perfect way to see the sights. (We did also take a bus sightseeing tour later
