Okay, that's...dreamy and bittersweet and lyrical, and a terrific insight into both of them. Rich and strange--I love the glimpses of the others as well. The last two lines are terrific.

a terrific insight into both of them

There's this excellent quote by JGL about Arthur in the Inception wiki article "as fastidious and professional as he is, Arthur didn’t want to apply his organizational skills to
. . . any of the things he could have been because sharing dreams is fascinating. It’s not just a job for him . . . it’s not the money he’s doing it for. He wouldn’t risk his life for a good paycheck. He loves it.”
I read that after I wrote this, but it really rang true in terms of how I see Arthur.

As for Ariadne, I identify with her (perhaps too much) since I, too, am an architecture student. Writing her felt a lot like writing about myself; in fact, the scars on her hands are actually based off some of my own, haha.

"Rich and strange" - I'm immensely flattered. I wanted to mimic that sort of disorientation from the movie and reflect the massive, meticulous detail they included; I'm happy it translated well ( ... )

Lovely. I really like how you've shown how close these two are without having to spend a lot of time telling us. Thanks for posting.:)

Heh heh, I've definitely seen you all around the A/A community/fandom - it makes me happy that you took the time to read (and comment on) something of mine, too :).

I love the understated intimacy of little secrets/rituals within a relationship (romantic or otherwise); it seemed especially appropriate for these two, I think, since I see Arthur as very reserved and nuanced.

I'm very flattered that, from what you've said, this comes across as more "show" than "tell."

Thank you for reading and commenting~!

You're very welcome. I agree with you on the rituals that couples have being one of the most fun things to observe, so I really liked you including that here.

And yes, I certaily do get around.LOL

I've never thought myself to be all that poetic, but I'm happy you consider this lyrical :]

I'm pretty darn sure this isn't the first time you've wrote. Well maybe an Arthur and Ariadne fanfic, but I refust to believe that you can write so beautiful on your fist shot but if so, so be it. Lovely writing hon, the way of the prose flows very well. I feel as if I'm sliding down a sheet of silk. You did the theme very well of bitings and the characters were true to heart. Absolutely lovely.

It's my first time writing fanfic, really! The only other attempt at fanfic I've ever done was just a paragraph written when I was thirteen XD.
(Thankfully, that file has been MIA for a long time.)

I'm honored that you consider this "beautiful" ♥.

I love and am charmed by your description of it as "sliding down a sheet of silk," both for the alliteration (:D) and for the sense of luxury and fluidity it evokes.

I'm also really pleased that they feel true to heart!

Thank you for reading & commenting~
