on a more serious note, my friend told me that touch screens aren't very comfortable to type with, no matter how pretty the effect may be. Nothing for your fingers to push on. Which, I didn't really realize what he was talking about until I got my new laptop, which has an incredibly comfortable keyboard.
Dude, that is so very true. I hadn't thought about it either until I tried typing long-ass replies/comments and got irritated by both the difficulty of typing itself (takes a long time/fail auto-complete/my huge fingers = bad for touch screens) and the eventual discomfort in my wrist and eyes. My neck got uncomfortable, too, but that's more because I was using it lying down. Laptops are so much better for that - I just prop mine on my chest. It's like a warm, whirring kitten XD.
My cell phone has touch buttons but a full QWERTY keyboard. I think it's the best of both worlds, because it's rather convenient to just hit the screen to send a text, but I can still type as fast/much as I'd like to because it has real keys.
Out of curiosity, what laptop is it? I have a Mac and find it pretty comfortable, though I know many (like my dad) prefer the more elevated and indented keys of most PC laptops/desktops.
