Private was perhaps to exaggerate, but it was certainly completely to the side of the square festivities. I saw the same people do 'public' dances and blessings in the square in the days after, but not the same ceremony - so my impression was that they'd come there to do the official stuff but had decided to do a proper ceremony on their own on the side for themselves. One I was lucky to catch!

Weather has varied considerably from place to place. Am at the coast now though, and blimey: it's hot!! My face is burning from only an hour in the sun.. if there's a cooler month, pick that instead!
