Oatmeal, part deux

For all you waiting with bated breath to hear about my second attempt with the oatmeal (Brown Sugar Cinnamon, 1/3 less the sugar!), things went simultaneously better and worse than yesterday.

LOL, oh God, I HATE when that happens!!! I don't know what your work microwave is like, but I find that usually 1 minute and 15 seconds is perfect, unless you added too much water/milk. If you DID do that, try stirring it a bunch before re-microwaving... sometimes that helps thicken it up.

I never thought we'd be discussing oatmeal at this length. What fascinating lives we lead!

i just LOL'd at the discussions about oatmeal too. how lame we are!

BUT, i have one tip. i actually don't make mine in the microwave. we have an electric jug taht i just boil water in and then pour it over the oatmeal. mix it up, leave it to sit for a minute or two. add some milk, some brown sugar (or whatev eryou please) and voila! done! way easier than having to stand and watch the microwave out of fear that your breakfast is going to blow up in your face. so if you have a jug at work...use that instead! easy!
