Well, I did it!  My friend that I stood up and I went to lunch today.  Had a nice time, and spent all of her lunch hour, and then some, chatting.  We only try to do this a couple times a year, and so we're going to try again near the end of the year.

Got our check a couple days ago, and put most of it in the credit union.  Plan to splurge tomorrow
