It's hard to know, exactly, what to say to this.

It's hard to know, exactly, what to say to about three-quarters of the shit that now constitutes "public life."

*blinks slowly*

But, um, I thought we fought a rather nasty war way back when to make sure 'Winston Churchill' had no power here... *scratches head*

And that is the ultimate result of "no child left behind".

She's too old for "no child left behind". She's more like "my parents couldn't send me to school because we lived out of a 1929 Ford in a Hooverville".

Um.

Wow.

Am I an evil bitch for saying I think the lady seriously needs a triple-strength dose of Aricept?

No. No, you are not.

I've been combing through my brain trying to think of what the fuck that might reference, and keep coming up with abolutely nothing.

However, I *did* once compete in a horse show at William Woods College edited to correct, since the two campuses are very cose], the sister school of Westminster College, (Fulton, Missouri) where Churchill gave his famous 'iron curtain' speech. My guess is that she would have no fucking idea that Churchill was (a) ever in Missouri, or (b) any real concept about the Iron Curtain. (She may have known what that was at some point in the 50s, but she now has no memory of anything prior to, say, June of this year).

If you look up William Woods College, you'll see that they had a very nice equestrian program in the late 70s and early 80s. I, however, was in the Eq depart at Stephens, close by. I also kicked some serious ass at that show ( ... )

Bush had a bust of Winston Churchill on his desk in the oval office. Upon transitioning, Obama removed the bust and replaced it with one of Abraham Lincoln.

Why this lady cares so much is beyond me.

...That's what this is about?!?

Abraham Lincoln's only the most concrete symbol of freedom we have if we're going to look for such in our past leaders. One wonders why no one is going batshit and screaming about how unpatriotic she is to want a bust of a foreign leader in the White House instead of one of our own Presidents.
