I did that! I had one from Tescos which I kept going for months - I was really pleased! Eventually after about six months, a string of pasta dishes finished it off, but it was a satisfying achievement.

Fabulous. I am holding the laptop up to my own supermarket 3-week-old, saying "See? See what you can achieve?"

When you took leaves for ooking, did you pinch out the tops or pluck the sides of the stems, or some other technique? I'm side-plucking but I fear it'll get leggy.

I took the sides of the stems - and it is a wee bit leggy, that photo is from its "good side". If you take out the tops, though, it starts to took a bit like it's been scorched on the top and doesn't grow back that well.

I can guarantee that Terry Pratchett was at no point involved in the ooking process.
