thats the article. i actually read it about a year ago. there is a documentary coming out based on this article, and someone posted a link to it so i read (parts of) it again.

Does it make me a bad person for finding his realisation slightly amusing? I mean, he lived, right!

well, the point is less that he lived, and more that this same thought probably runs through the minds of the other couple of hundred people that kill themselves in this manner every year. or the thousands of people per year who kill themselves in general.
