Office Archetypes (with apologies to Jung)

I have a theory. There are only about two-dozen people in the world. Seriously. Doing contract work the way I have been, I find myself in a new group of people every 6-12 months, and I have noticed that no one I work with is truly new anymore. Most of the engineers I've met fall into the Overeducated Moron category. I have yet to meet an engineer that can fill out a timecard correctly. This comes of doing a lot of HR/Payroll work for various kinds of engineers, from Software to Environmental.

I guess I would have fit The Mouse best. I was never worried about the office gossip, since I largly kept to myself, it never really touched me. The happy flip side of it is (I think) my own business didn't make it into office gossip. But I usually knew where everything was, how to do things and kept a low profile, so I guess that's me.

They say that every job has the office a**hole. If you look around and can't find them, then guess what, you're it.
