YUP. Robert is too "lol whatever" about the whole thing, which is especially stupid given he just ruined things.

Mary is SO NOT maternal. I think she's more like Grannie in that respect. "There we go, I've had a baby. Where is the nanny to take it away from me?" [Enter, stage right, Mary Poppins]

YUP. I like Mary, but she's really really really not the mother type. There will be nannies.

Yaye Edith! I always thought Edith (if she didn't marry some Tycoon who adored her) would be better off getting a job as a secretary in a big law firm or something. Make her own way in life and not be tied down to a man.

I think Edith will become the most independent. She'll lead the life Sybil was talking about in S1 before she went insane.

Here's a thought, Robert, Matthew and Branson(??? Hmm maybe not a wise choice) as three co-signers on the money. Majority rules and what not. That way Robert doesn't piss it all away in bad investments.

Ugh. Leave Branson out of it. He'd be funding Irish revolutionaries and then acting all indignant when people would ask him why the hell he took the money.

Yeah, I foresee Mary not wanting to deal with the mismanagement issue and being like "Papa has been doing this for years. I'm sure it's fine! Now let's talk about the fabric for the drapes in the sitting room." I am definitely going to be on Matthew's side, but I won't ever hate Mary. And I'm sure she'll come around soon enough once Matthew makes her look at this objectively.

Hopefully she'll come around quickly. Matthew is going to need allies in this, I think.

Yes - only married women were allowed to have breakfast in bed! Amazing!

Branson, if you wanted to be a revolutionary, you shouldn't have gotten married and started a family. DUH. Moron.

And he DEFINITELY shouldn't have married an English aristocrat. DUH.

WHATEVERZ, MARRIED PEOPLE.

TOTALLY. It's like - do the worst thing you could possibly do for your career as a revolutionary! OK!

your line of thought is the same as mine basically.

Mary's expression when Matthew metioned possible children was hillarious. XD

And LOLLL @ Matthew going to Violet for advice, I didn't see that coming tbh. Not that it was a bad movie, just suprised me.

Yeah, Mary did not look especially thrilled. :D

And I didn't really expect the Violet thing either, but I guess he really had no one else to go to.
