Had that big job interview yesterday. . .and my car key broke off in the lock. (It's a Mazda, so the doors and the ignition are the same key.) Fortunately, I was able to get the interview pushed back to today. Yeah, it's a really strange feeling, when a key just snaps in half in the lock.

It's actually warm. . .apparentlyt it was just a crappy key. I tried to get my backup key, but this was my backup copy, I remembered that the origoinal also snapped in half.

I did have a locksmith from AAA, I just had to wait a while. After he gave me the temporary key, he told me point blank, "this one's going to break too. . .you need to get a new one from the dealer." Unfortunately the dealership the car came from no longer exists, but fortunately, I can apparently get a replacement key from any Mazda dealer.
