Realizing something.

My mom and sister decided that they wanted to have a birthday party for me on the 29th. It was supposed to be a surprise, but they didn't know who to invite other than family. So my sister spilled just so she could get some names of my friends. Upon hearing this, I realized...I don't really have any friends. Not what I would call close ones. You ( Read more... )

With any marriage, it's easy to kind of forget about maintaining friendships outside that marriage. I know we've gone through spells where we felt like we didn't know anyone.

It gets worse with kids (as you know).

I'm sure it's even worse when there's spousal "issues" like you're having.

True friendship shows itself when the fit hits the shan, if you know what I mean. Unfortunately, not many people really have friends who will stick it out through the rough times.

I'm sure it doesn't make you feel any better, but you're not alone in feeling like you don't have any friends. It's a pretty common state here in the States.
