Yesterday, I happened upon some gigantic dog bones (about two feet long) at the grocery store. I decided on a whim to get one each for Sugar and Chewie, mostly for entertainment purposes

Aw, she probably didn't have much stuff of her own at her old house. Giving her tasty stuff in exchange for the bone, or whatever it is she wants, is supposed to help train out resource guarding like that.
Yeah, at her original house she probably didn't have any toys, and at her interim house, my SIL's other dogs would take all her toys away.
She won't snap at me or anything, and usually she won't even growl by this time. I just thought it was funny that she won't growl at me when I go to take a really tasty bone away that she's actively chewing on, but she growled at me over this huge thing that she didn't even want. :-)
