This book really moved me as well. Darfur is only one of many countries who have had to suffer such terrible violence by their governments. Last year I read about Rwanda and Zimbabwe. It's heart wrenching. Reading it though, isn't enough. It will take more than that to stop the violence.

It's all very sad. And you're right - it will take a lot more than reading to change things in Africa.

Wendy from caribousmom wrote a review for this book this week as well. It sounds well written and heartbreaking. I wish we could figure out a way to solve all of the troublesome areas in the world. I feel so helpless.
