I don't know that I've ever read anything along these lines. So nice to see fresh AU out there in the HP universe! I think you depicted both men's emotion pain and regret quite beautifully. I'm a sucker for anything where Remus gets to teach again! So Yay for that! I wonder if Severus Could ever become a whole person. He spent o much time being so emotionally stunted, you've just got to wonder.

It's nice to think that out of the half a million HP fics out there (just on ff.net) it's possible to come up with something that hasn't been done before! I'm really pleased you liked this, even though it isn't your normal thing.

I wonder if Severus Could ever become a whole person. He spent o much time being so emotionally stunted, you've just got to wonder.

That's the $100,000 question, isn't it? He's loved exactly one person and lived for exactly one thing his whole life, and in neither case was it borne of a pure emotion. And even though he's carried out his purpose, even if that gave him some closure, he's still got all that baggage...and did he ever really change in his views regarding blood status?

Wow, thanks! I'm really pleased you liked this so well, despite its non-shippyness. (And you know I'd never let Tonks be permanently maimed!)

Hee, I wonder that, too--I sort of think Snape wouldn't be terribly moved by this gesture, except to be mortified...

Third time's always the charm, as they say! But I really appreciate you going to such trouble to share you thoughts. :)

I'm so very pleased you enjoyed this! I was really nervous about whether I'd captured the right tone for both characters, but especially Snape, after everything he'd been through...and I'm very glad so many other people are interested in a post-war Snape! I think that's why I can't really get over HP, because there are just so many possibilities for what happens after the books (though moreso if more of the adult characters lived).
