Thanks very much for reading and commenting! I'm so pleased you see Sirius and the Black family in Andromeda; I think she's a fascinating character because she's the one "good" Slytherin we meet in the books, and that has a lot of implications.

I also enjoyed the portrayal of Andromeda, truly a woman and mother of substance and force. The line about not raising Tonks to skulk in the dark was a stand out, as was her forgiveness (and astuteness that he needed it) followed by the swift warning if it happened again (though that makes me sad, because the way things turned out in the-book-that-shall-not-be-mentioned, I always wonder if she ever quite did).

Poor Remus, here, being hard on himself as always (not that some of it wasn't deserved). I really like the way Andromeda reads him, and understands that what he needs if forgiveness -- not to mention her take on why she's been less than delighted about her daughter's relationship. But it's also nice to see that Remus can surprise her, too.
(This definitely gets my Remus-and-the-teabag icon, lol.)

Thanks very much for reading, and for your kind words. And I'm glad this merited the sulky Remus and his twice-used teabag, hee!
