This is absolutely amazing! The idea of the daughter's sorting alone made me happy, and I loved how you worked with it. Especially the fact that I didn't even come close to guessing which house it would be until the Sorting Hat(whose song was great, by the way)said the word...

Just one question: will we find out what house John is sorted into for sure??

Aw, thank you very much! I was a bit intimidated of writing a Sorting scene, especially the Hat's song, so I'm really pleased you liked this (especially the song!). And I'm glad it didn't seem totally obvious where the plot was headed.

Just one question: will we find out what house John is sorted into for sure??

LOL Maybe at next year's grand_national.

Aw, seriously? That's like the Murphy's Law of fanfic posting! What a bummer. I hope you get a chance to read soon and that you like where your prompt led. :)

Do you know how hard it was to concentrate on work today when I knew this piece was waiting for me? I'd thought to print it so I could read it over lunch but no, the boss just had to take me out to eat. Damn him ( ... )

Yay! I'm so thrilled you like how this turned out! Do you know I was really stumped for a while where to go with it. Remus and Tonks betting on Alba's house for sexual favors came to me right away, but for the longest time I didn't know what else to do. It wasn't till I actually started writing lines for Alba that she told me she wanted to be a Slytherin and then everything gelled. But I really must thank you for a great plot bunny, because this was way fun to write, and I think I'm pleased with the result. Even if it did turn out about four times as long as I thought it would ( ... )

I loved it! Your sorting hat song was so cute, not to mention the idea of Tonks & Remus betting on which house their daughter would be in. Great story, all around :D

Thank you so much! My original plot bunny was a bet on Alba's house, but then it kind of grew out of control from there! I'm really pleased to know you liked it and enjoyed the Sorting Hat song. I had a lot of fun with that. :)

Thank you so very much! I had a lot of fun with the snark and competition in this one, which I think must be a part of Remus' and Tonks' relationship. They'll never grow truly old, being such playful people. ;)

And I'm delighted you didn't think the outcome was obvious! I was afraid the foreshadowing had been a bit heavy-handed. Also I'm very pleased you liked the Song, as I spent quite a bit of time on that. Actually part of me isn't sure whether the four houses will exist after the war...But I like the idea of house unity, too.

As to what I think of Snape? He's totally self-serving, and not on either side. That's my take and I'm sticking to it. ;)

Thanks a lot for your lovely words. I know werepup fic has a bad name in R/T land, but I just love the idea of Dad!Remus. So I'm glad there are people who like to read it!

I'll see what can be done with John's House. Going to school in Alba's footsteps can't be the easiest thing in the world...;)

I loved reading it, especially the line:

"Don't call her Nymphadora, Grandromeda"

made me laugh, it so reminds me of Tonks saying it to Remus.

Again great work!

I'm so glad you liked this, and that that bit in particular made you laugh. I liked the idea of Remus parenting a miniature Tonks. ;)

Thanks for taking the time to read and leave a note!
