Interesting the way Molly refuses to tell Remus about how this has fundamentally hurt Tonks. Oh, I'm looking forward to seeing more of how you have Remus and Tonks deal with this separation.
Lovely details, as always. I like the forshadowing with Bill and Fleur. And really, you do include such lovely light moments with the angsty.

I really enjoy the contrast of Molly, who's somewhat loose-lipped when it comes to voicing her displeasure, restraining herself in this case. She strikes me as the type who has probably nagged Remus whenever it enters her head prior to Christmas, yet apparently she hasn't said anything too specific, because Remus seems absolutely gobsmacked by Harry's revelation about Tonks' changed Patronus. This was, of course, a build-up to that, and I'm glad it stood out to you as intriguing.
I like the forshadowing with Bill and Fleur.
Thank you! I'm a tremendous Fleur fan, and I adore the way her love story unerscores R/T.
As always, I really appreciate your thoughtful comments. I'm glad you're finding some light moments in this, too - it's one of my goals, in the HBP stories, to work in a bit where I can.

And good drama, too. :)

This piece, while quite sad, had a lot of nice things in it. I liked Remus' interaction with Fleur. She often gets the short end of the stick but there's got to be more to this gal if she was a Tri-Wizard Champion.
It hurts my heart to see Remus constantly berating himself for thinking "human" thoughts or for taking a bit of comfort in things that others take for granted. Even knowing what the future holds, there's still a lot of angst to get through but I know you'll navigate it well and I look forward to the next piece.

Oh, I agree completely, and am so glad to see some other Fleur fans out there! Her snobbery amused me in GoF, but I liked her nonetheless because she did seem to have a good heart through it all. And I just feel as bad for her in HBP as I do for Remus. She puts up with a lot of unjustified hostility, especially from Molly, who really ought to know better.

I guess because I want to comfort him ( ... )

I really enjoyed Remus and Fleur’s interaction she has to be a smart, capable young lady in order to have been a TWC, all to often she’s depicted in a highly unfavorable light. And Remus’ self deprecation certainly tears on the heart strings.

At any rate, it was really good. I liked how Fleur empathized with Remus. It seemed very realistic. Nice job =)
