I am so sorry you are having to go through all this!
I did comment to you in teaching and am wondering: Are you in the teacher's union or are you getting your own lawyer?

I can't believe she is doing this....especially since the circumstances are out of your control.

Do not back down!
In the meantime until you find another job, can you sub? That might be ideal since you have your beautiful new baby at home?
Yes, I peeked at a few of your other entries. She is gorgeous!

Best of luck!

I'm in a teacher's union they will help me appeal the discontinuance- but, If I want to file a discrimination suit-we need to get a private lawyer which my husband really wants to do- I could sub- but, want to focus on getting a full time position- it's not the loss of money that hurts- it's the lack of health insurance-oh, and thank you about the baby

I don't want to leave this comment in teaching but get a copy of your contract before you have any conversations with anyone, also get a copy of any documentation in your file from the NY Public schools. I know about 5 employment lawyers in NYC and I am positive that your case would be taken pro-bono by a pretty big firm if you can hunt up the documentation before hand.

thank you, I will contact my school secretary and get copies of all the documentation from that school- that's a good plan

Hey! My name is Arthur. I used to play D&D with your Husband!

Congradulations on the baby, I'm glad she's in good health. I looked over the pictures your husband posted and she's beautiful, I'm so jelous!

I posted links to the NY Daily News, News 12 and NY1 in Allan's blog and sent a columnist at the Daily News a link to your other blog to help you fight this injustice!

I also posted a call to arms in the newyorkers community with a link to the blog Allan made ( ... )

I teach in DE and my cousin teaches in NY City. I just do not think this is all legal. However, I do know what you are going through with shitty principals. I had one before I got my current job. He made my life hell
