I'm a creature of solitude. I like spending time by myself a lot. A lot, a lot! But that's probably because I get enough to people at work. When I'm at the frame shop, I go stir-crazy 'cause there's nobody to talk to! Yes. I am a paradox.
And I agree! I am in love with books. They are my great escapes. For a little while, I'm somewhere else--someone else. There's nothing more magical than that.

Ditto to the books as well. For just a little while, I get to so somewhere else, which is so cool. ^^ One of my professors likes to say that the greatest gift you can give someone is a book! :D

According to the removal guy I nearly killed with my boxes, I have three times as many books as the average British family. I didn't have the heart to tell him about all the boxes in my parents' attic.
Gotta say, working in bookselling was the happiest job I've ever had. Except for the customers. But now I get to lurk in my study all day - Amazon one-click is the work of the devil.

I have to clean out my bookcase every year (I still live at home, so there's not much room, sadly), but it's still always in a state of perpetual bursting. Someday I want to have a whole room with shelves for walls. :D

The bit I liked best in the McKinley book 'Beauty' was the library. :)

Same here! My mom loves to read, and she passed that on to me. We're always finding new ways to fit more books into a room. :)
