The Jonas story doesn't *have* to be sad ... just hard, right? Life-altering. Really, in the continuing story in my head he doesn't die in every scenario. ;)

I am hopelessly behind on my flist, but I just wanted to leave a quick comment to say that I love both of these, but especially the Cassie set. Really lovely progression of her character.

Mother's Day was pretty low-key here, 'cause hubby had to work half the day. But I got carrot cake, and carrot cake is always a good, good thing. =) Thanks for asking!

Cassie fic! Oh, it's lovely. I love the tension between who she is and who she feels she's supposed to be. And the progression between them is just perfect, from girl to adult.

That progression is exactly why the prompt ate my brain! I liked the idea of it. The only thing is I couldn't make the prompt play nicely with any ties back to Janet in the last three! There's that silly deadline for these, preventing me from hanging on to it until I figure these things out .... =) Hee. Anyway, I'm happy you liked it! Thanks!

I have to say I'm completely addicted to '5 Things' lists (they are short enough that I can read them while hiding out from my kids but they still pack the emotional punch that makes me remember why I like these characters and want to get back to writing), but this one in particular really stands head and shoulders above the rest. I love the honesty and continuity - the whole list could be a stand alone fic.

Oh, thank you! What a nice compliment. I love five things, too, and I think this prompt was fairly unusual in that it *could* be used to tell a whole story. I like to think of it that way, anyway. And I just love Cassie. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it!
