I love how Vala's never been afraid to be exactly what she feels at any given moment.

PS: I like how you incorporated toward the end how touchy-feely Daniel can get with Vala. Of all the Stargate pairings, those two are the boldest about invading each other's personal space, whether antagonistically or intimately.

Thanks! I watched the back third or so of Dominion while I was writing this and yeah, Daniel is pretty much standing on top of her when he's worrying about how she's doing. They are very intense.

Thank you! I watched bits of some season 10 eps to get my head into Vala-and-Daniel space, and I really miss them too. :)

Oh this is just gorgeous. I love how Vala's inner turmoil and uncertainty drives this whole, delicate outer image she tries to project to everyone around her, and how Daniel sees that it's a front and tries to understand, even though it's not something he possibly could, but that's enough for Vala. I always love how complex and real you write Vala's character.
(also glad I saved this up for when I could read it all at once and not piece meal :)

Thanks! I really do enjoy writing her, but it's not ever going to come out fluffy and happy when I do, apparently.
