Happiest of happy birthdays to the always-fabulous a-loquita and binkii822! I really, really appreciate how much fandom overlap the two of you have so that you can always share birthday presents. *g*

This fic is for a-loquita's prompt, five times Castle invited Beckett to his house in the Hamptons. She and I both agree that the house in the Hamptons should have shown up ( Read more... )

Eeeeee, it's fabulous! Love the lighthearted and silly banter in 1 and 2, and the quiet introspection in 3. But 4 is my favorite, because Castle doesn't always say the right thing, but he is *good* at Kate Beckett. ♥

What a lovely present for our girls!

Yes! Definitely. And I'm glad to hear you liked that one best, because honestly it was the one I was the least sure about. :) Thank you!

This is really wonderful! I love the progression, especially in the fourth one where Beckett is determined to go, because she doesn't want to let Castle down and he's the one who realizes that she can't. And the awesome scene with Alexis and the photos. Thanks so much for sharing this!

Thank you! I think that bit with Alexis is my own favorite part, so I'm glad you liked it. :)

The 'five times' trope is almost as much of a cliche as is the scene for every letter of the alphabet. And we all know how hard it is to transcend a cliche. But you've done it with ease and style. Good on you!

The gradual transition from 'oh, go away' to 'oh come here' - with all the backstory left unsaid but not uncommunicated - was great.

You do know that this means you have to commit more Castle-fics, now don't you? Virtue is its own penalty (and our gain).

Hee. I will say, there's nothing like a good five things prompt to unstick a stuck writing brain. *g* I'm glad this one works for you! Thanks very much.

Yay!! I love me some "5 times", and it's been far too long since I've read a new one!
And this one was brilliant :)

Welcome to the fandom, and please write more! (greedy, ungrateful fans..tsk tsk) :D

I love five things fic, too - such a fun structure to play with. And we'll see whether there are any more Castle fics lurking about in my brain - nothing going just yet, but who knows!

Thank you!
