So I had a pretty awesome Christmas. A huge chunk of my family came late, which pissed off my mom, but that was fine. I was pissed at my mom's cousin and his girlfriend coming super late and leaving after 45 minutes to go to the girlfriend's aunt's house, and not even calling, but whatevs, I still had a great day. I saw Sherlock Holmes on Saturday and loved it! I'm familiar with other Holmes adaptations and I've read many of the Conan Doyle stories, but I still managed to adore this movie. It had a few nods to the stories, but you can also enjoy it all by itself.

And RDJ and Law were awesome together!

The friend I was sitting next to is in love with the Conan Doyle stories and she enjoyed the movie, too. I'm glad that the movie did the stories justice, even though I've never read any, because I know how it feels to see a crappy adaptation xD

RDJ and Law were amazing (and had so much chemistry!).

They were definitely amazing!

I can usually appreciate different adaptations, but I was pleasantly surprised that the film didn't diminish Holmes' intelligence while showing off his fighting skills (which are canon).

I want to see it again.
