Speculations? I think it was a rogue employee who happened to really be THAT stupid, but I could be wrong. It could've been an effort to appeal to the East Euros, I dunno.

That is just terrible Photoshopping. I can't believe whomever it was forgot to Photoshop the hand too!

I can even kind of see how the hand might have been overlooked, but how lazy do you have to be not to go back and fix the light source? PhotoShop even offers tools to assist with this!

I suspect that black people may not be very common Poland, even now, though I don't know for sure.

It seems like someone along the way, perhaps thinking the same as I have stated above, may have thought they needed to make a more relatable image for the Polish people.

I'm not defending it, just trying to come up with a possible theory to explain the oddity.

That's why I said "appeal to the East Euros", as 99% of the ones I encounter here (immigrants, not their children or young adult east euros) are pretty racist and very frank about it.

That makes sense.

I was always weirded out by that. I mean it kinda makes sense in that they're from very nationalistic countries that have almost no diversity but at the same time, the lack of direct exposure to black people should leave many of them with no opinions instead of negative ones.

Of course, slavery and worldwide advertising of black people (like, back in the day when products used Negro or the N word in them, during slave times) impacted the opinions of many countries (Japan cracks me up).

My hair stylist once told me that "all the monkeys (were) out in the neighborhood today..." Which was weird because it was the first time that looking latin was "better" in a racist's eyes than looking black.

Interesting. I wonder what the hell that's about! It looked like such a shoddy job, it had to be rushed. You know, I wouldn't have been surprised if it was a mistake at all. I'm sure Microsoft would have rather put out a quality photoshop job than a shitty one.
