My gritiques fall into two categories - those who wore a fab dress that did not suit them, and those who chose something downright hideous.  Suprisingly this year, it's the latter category that I have more to comment on!

My WINNERS from the Oscars.... (and by "winners" I mean they looked great, wore a good dress well and note they obviously hire good people to help them dress/prepare! That's not a criticism - that, to my mind, is Common Sense)

I always felt it would end in tears for Hunter S. Thompson. I have to say, I was never a huge fan. I liked "Fear and Loathing..." and appreciate the whole "gonzo" thing but the NRA thing didn't enamour him to me. Still, I guess the world was a better place for his musings.

It's snowing! It's snowing! It's snowing! I know it won't accumulate and I know it won't snow for long but gawd-DAMN it's lovely. It's proper snow, too, like we used to get in VT and rarely ever see in London (maybe twice in the 8 years I've lived here) - big fat flakes that smack you on the face ( Read more... )
