Gah, given that Warren Street is 5 minutes' walk from my office (and one of my two routes to work), I am an Angry Bunny. Is all of this taxing on your nerves? I mean, is there any part of you that is afraid of all of this? All I keep hearing is how Londoners are going on with their daily life and taking it all in stride. I wonder if all of this makes you not want to leave your house in the morning!

I propose that if anything else happens, you make it your duty (after contacting Hubby and family, of course) to update just so that we know you're good!!!!

It's hard to describe how I feel - I think I'm choosing not to let myself be scared by it, because the odds are pretty good in everyone's favour (not to dismiss or belittle the deaths of 54 people, but something like a million people use public transport every day, or probably more) - but getting on the tube yesterday morning and again in the evening was definitely an "okay, here we go" moment, like, "I don't want to do this, but I'm gonna do it"... the last two weeks, I've felt sort of on edge but not scared per se. The strange thing is that people talk a lot less on the tubes - there's hardly any braying chit-chat by anyone. We all sit or stand and cast glances at each other. Some guy got on the train in front of me with a big black bag and I can't lie, I checked him out; having said that, look at the photos of the 4 suspects they're searching for. I have to admit, I wouldn't have given any of them a second glance. And they didn't even leave BIG backpacks - a f*cking Fitness First club backpack??? Jesus, more than half of guys in ( ... )

It does seem futile. When I hear that NYC police are checking every tenth passenger, I think to myself, 'How the hell is that going to make a difference?' I know thay can only do so much but it still makes me think that there needs to be a mssive shake-up, security-wise.
