SF and N. CA is my favourite destination too! I've only been to Big Sur once - it was shrouded in fog. One day...

I did a driving holiday with friends about 15 years ago. The first stage was from LA to SF over a few days, stopping off in Santa Barbara and Carmel. We stuck to Highway 1 and it was an amazing drive.

I've always wnated to go back, spend more time there and see more.
