Yes -- do it! That would be gorgeous. And so body-positive for you.
I am so jealous about no stretch marks. I have plenty on my stomach, and no good excuse like pregnancy. As I approach 30, I've just had to come to terms with it as a part of my particular aging process. But I'm always a little wistful when I see women with unblemished pregnancy tummies. It's always something, isn't it?
Well, I don't have any stretch marks on my stomach (yet). I've had them pretty extensively on my hips and thighs for years, and a few have popped up on my breasts since this pregnancy thing. I'm sort of like you with the old ones, I've just gotten used to them and see them as part of my body.
I'm using special cream to try and avoid new ones, but I suspect I'll get my fair share anyway. They say that if your mom had them, you'll have them. Boy, did my mom have them.
I also love the look of a pregnant belly when it doesn't have any stretch marks on it. I doubt I will be lucky enough to end up with that result. For now, I'll go ahead and revel in the milky smoothness of my growing stomach.
I'm with you on the henna tattoo - that belly needs some extra decoration :)
Your belly's so cute! It's so hard to gauge how much our belly has grown, because we get the top-down view. It's funny to catch myself in the mirror, as I keep doing a double-take.
There is just something so beautiful about a pregnant lady's tummy. I think it inspires in so many of us the desire to curl up on their lap, press an ear gently to the warm skin and listen to see if we can hear the baby. I have fond memories of my mother letting me do just that and the wonder of feeling my baby brother kick back at my fingers when I poked at him. :)
magnifico ciao bella...cherish always the life that is within and with who you have been entrusted to nurture...always holding in an open hand. osservate per essere in modo da a pace e per esibire tale bellezza. ciao!
So you got a livejournal account, did you? Welcome. I'll add you as a friend, but beware I have a lot of personal information on here. ;-) You might want to check out my Something Good blog, too.
I am so beyond grateful to be past that morning sickness phase. I thought it would kill me. It literally started to subside on the last day of my first trimester. Pretty good timing, eh?
I'll keep you in mind when I have a little extra cash and want to get a henna tattoo!
