Wow, another entry at slacken_ties that left me completely blank. A picture of "Eleanor". I was all, who/wah'? I actually checked that I was at the right community, heh. Once again, all the girls' happiness about it was fascinating. I mean. Besides other observations, honestly all I saw was a person in a dirty tub, soaking in rotten-ish green water

I like some of Eleanor's music (meaning the only real feelings I have towards her concern the Fierys' material), but from an aesthetic point of view, I do not care for that picture.

Yours is a healthy approach to the matter :) I honeslty don't even know her music, so I judge only from the comments on her, which sometimes sound just kind of extreme to me. Kind of forced, you know. Looks like since it'd bad to be utterly indifferent, the only other choice is to squee at her over-approvingly o_O

I've always thought celebrity gf/bf situations cause extreme opinions on fans' ends: you either love 'em, hate 'em, or are indifferent. Yet I don't think I'm any of those with Eleanor; I think I see her more as a vocalist I like who just happens to be dating another vocalist that I'm a fan of. It's nice in that I discovered the Fiery Furnaces that way...and while I'm there, if you'd like to hear something from them, I can upload. In case you'd prefer to be better-informed on the matter. ;)

I hope you don't mind, I was the one who put that pic of Eleanor. I did it for fun's sake, I thought it'd be a good laugh. Honestly, I expected more comments upon her posing naked etc. not about her looks. I can't say I hate her but I don't like her either, she's neither pretty nor very talented - but it's Alex who decides, not us. :)
