jury duty

I have never been called for Jury duty since I have been in Sacramento.   After watching my new favorite channel (Discovery Investigation), and reading the daily utter bullshit about this ass state political type Roberto P. Vellanoweth's who hit and killed 4 people going 70 mph on S. Land Park Drive with a Blood Alcohol of .16, and how his lawyer ( Read more... )

Your luck would be that you are brought on to some really stupid trial. I love jury duty but always end up on tiny trials (prostitute busted for coke or heroin...yawn).

Cross your fingers about becoming a grand juror. My mom was one for a year; she LOVED it because she is a court/crime fanatic.

i was called in sac twice, each time i moved. both times i sat in a room full of gross germ-ridden people most of the day and hardly spent any time in the courtroom. i never even got put on the stand for questioning. i just got called for jury duty (a "special" trial that was anticipated to be long!) here too (again, right after i moved) but had to put it off because it was right when AP portfolios were due. you should call them to ask to be on a jury--i'm curious what they would do. i would like to do it some time too, for reals!!

I was so so close to calling but Justin said "be careful what you wish for..." so I got hesitant and chickened out. I hate when people say that!
