Ianto stood, arms crossed; watching as Twitchy launched herself over the sofa, jumped across to the armchair, ran along the coffee table, landed on the carpet and without breaking a stride, sprinted straight upstairs.
Ianto turned to Jack with a disapproving look schooled on his handsome face.
“Jack, what did I say about giving Twitchy coffee after the last incident?” Ianto flinched at the sound of something heavy falling over upstairs, a high pitched meow and running paws.
“Don’t do it again?” Jack guessed, looking sheepish and not meeting Ianto’s eyes instead plucking at a spare thread hanging off his trousers.
“Correct.” Ianto nodded, sitting down next to Jack, swiping at Jack’s wandering hand. Two seconds later, Twitchy ran back downstairs and launched herself into Ianto’s lap. “Then why is Twitchy acting like she’s high?” Ianto asked, one perfectly arched eyebrow rising.
"She’s a little minx, Ianto.” Jack declared, finally meeting his eyes. He pointed menacingly at the cat. “I swear, I only left my cup alone for one minute; not even that, more like thirty!"
“If you can’t handle the cat Jack, I will have to stop making coffee.” Ianto not threatened, but promised, wincing as Twitchy’s claws dug in somewhere very painful.
Jack just looked shocked, his eyes widening at the thought of caffeine withdrawal.
“But-"
“No buts, Jack. You’re not the one that has to sleep with her.” Jack opened his mouth, then paused, closed it again, mentally running through the conversation in his head and finally pointed at the fluffball.
“You’re sleeping with her?"
