Wow!! I just ran a little under 5K with my boot camp today--took me 23 minutes and I was exhausted. I can't imagine running even a 10K, let alone a half or full marathon! Way to go, sir.
That was certainly once the case with me too. All I can say is that it takes practice. (Only 3 weeks training this year perhaps, but it took me 2 years of running several times a week to build up to my first ones last year.)
Which is to say: it's totally doable! (If, y'know, it's something yer interested in doing.)

Well, Shaw (my ISP) has been slow That explains it. Once I'd loaded each image separately, the whole page loaded fine.
When's Emirates opening up a Calgary route again? :-P I wish! It's so not going to happen, at least not foreseeably. Canada will only let EK operate three flights a week, which we're using on thrice-weekly overbooked flights to Toronto on the A380 (our largest capacity cabin). Emirates wants to fly to Calgary, and I'm guessing the demand is there. Silly politics.
