What network card is it? I've used a variety of the Intel cards, and while they took a bit of stabbing to get going in the first place, they have given me a lot less trouble than other manuf's cards.
If it's a [34]945, then the iwl drivers are superb. For 2[123]00, then you get the older ipw drivers, which work, but seemed a bit crashy.
I grabbed the iwlwifi driver off the Intel website. The installation instructions seem straightforward enough, but they insist that I first install the mac80211 subsystem.
That's where I ran into problems. The mac80211 installation requires that not only the kernel modules be rebuilt, but also the kernel itself. And as I said, I couldn't get the new kernel to boot.
What kernel are you running / trying to run? 2.6.24-rc2 atm on my laptop, and the IWL3945 driver is part of the main kernel source (likewise mac80211 and cfg80211).
It's (one of) the stock one(s) that comes with Slackware-12.
When (after following the mac80211 instructions), I ran "make menuconfig" in the appropriate place, it already had "Generic IEEE 802.11 Networking Stack" selected as , however had "Generic IEEE 802.11 Networking Stack (mac80211)" unselected. Setting the latter to (mac80211 installation instructions) and trying to rebuild the kernel failed.
Thinking that (as per the above) it might have already been installed, I tried to go ahead with the iwlwifi driver installation anyway, but got to:
[root@mrfusion /home/seanni/install/iwlwifi-1.0.0-1]# ./load debug=0 No modules unloaded. Loaded: iwl3945 iwl4965 [root@mrfusion /home/seanni/install/iwlwifi-1.0.0-1]# ifconfig wlan up wlan: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device [root@mrfusion /home/seanni/install/iwlwifi-1.0.0-1]# Which is about as far as I got (after having struggled with mac80211 a bit, the tale not included here because it was mostly due to my own

Somehow I managed to miss the mall experience until the very last minute, when I was trying to track down another copy of the book I so woefully left in a taxi. It was rather intense to be suddenly surrounded by so many people. Walking the winter streets didn't give the same sense of population. Winter = indoors, apparently = mall?
someone posted in the vancouver LJ about making onde-onde and where to find ingredients. I had no idea, so I asked my mom, who has been known to make that dessert from time to time. :D She says fresh pandan leaves are the best, because they are more fragrant than the extract. This makes sense to me in my mind, but I wouldn't have known the physical difference, because I can't smell...which makes this more exciting to me than to you. Haha!

However, it leaves such a prominent impact on life and culture in Calgary that several places, and other assorted things, are named after it.
Including Calgary's largest, Metrotown-like shopping area (technically "Chinook Centre" but whatever).
Also: you're welcome any time!
