why is it so horrible to dislike parties? no, i don't like to go to parties, and would rather be home analyzing ravel and hanging out with my housemates than watching people get drunk on a Wednesday night. my family gave me a similar lecture on my grandma's birthday. basically, i wasn't hungry for cake so I wouldn't have any of the birthday cake. They said it was rude and impolite and I should haven't taken a slice to show my appreciation. In the end I realize that I guess sometimes we have to do things to keep up appearances. That's living in society.
