Technical help needed

I am having a problem mostly when playing wow, it will lock up then switch to the desktop which has reverted to 800x600 and then when I close Wow out will shut off the video signal. I have checked the memory, have installed new drivers for my video card, updated Direct X and Java and have reinstalled wow and ran it without add ons. Anyone have any

Try a different monitor for a bit, especially if you're using an LCD. Set the system to the lowest resolution for WoW and test everything from a clean boot.
