I want to say some things to you about preaching to the choir.

Have you seen the Gareth Malone choir programmes that we've had in the UK? I don't know whether they've made it to the US or not! The format is (now, after quite a few different repetitions) a bit hackneyed, but there is something about the magic, as you say, of bringing people together to sing, that shines through despite that. Sending solidarity and hugs from the UK.

One of the things I've been discovering dealing with depression is that-- especially at times of stress-- the things you knew last month or last quarter may need reviewing so as to remember them again.

Also my twitter feed is far more helpful to my mental state right now than my husband's news & facebook habit.
