Happy your birthday to you! And happy your grandmother's moving, too. My GF-in-law is in one of those places that allows independence but provides some services also. His is affiliated with UC Davis and he does seem to like it. I want a version for younger people, where you can choose to cook or to eat in the cafeteria if you don't have time to cook, and you can hibernate at home or go to Movie Night right downstairs.

Grandma's doesn't have a cafeteria--she was fairly firm on not wanting that--and I think one of the results may be that it's selected for people who are absolutely sure they can always cook for themselves or make it out to a restaurant. But the Movie Night level of possibility for social stuff is really nice for her, I think.
