I went to the cinema! For the first time in many months, this time to finally catch Lu Chuan's City of Life and Death.
Liu Ye is in this film, and as annoying as he usually is, isn't in for long. But the film is decent, I've sat through Lars Von Trier's Dancer in the Dark and now this in the last three days and they're both fairly distressing. Lu ( Read more... ) -

Bodyguards and Assassins doesn't climax like similar films, it explodes. Not a bad little film, it just gets carried away towards the end and a little too insistent on pulling on the heart strings. Definitely worth the watch, it's entertaining, but boy does it shoot over its own head through some 40-50 minute string of action sequences.
