I was listening to Seth Rudestsky on Sirius radio on my evening commute. He mentioned a singer I wasn't familiar with and then played a selection from her debut solo album. It's an Alanis Morrisette tune with arrangement by composer Jason Patrick Brown (The Last Five Years, Songs for a New World, Parade). This video was recorded at Kate's CD ( Read more... )

LOVE HER!!! She has been a guest/performer on the RFamily cruises. One of my favorite memories was singing Suddenly, Seymore (from Little Shop) with her in the piano bar on the ship.

Do you by chance have a video or audio recording? I'd love to hear you sing with her! She's new to me. Seth was building her up on his program; evidently, he used her for the Actors Fund "Whorehouse" and if she was on the cruises, then he probably accompanied her act.

Big HUGS!

Let's connect, at least on the phone, while you're here. I'll be working all weekend, but will be off after 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

I like the way she injects personality into the song - she really knows how to sell a number....that's entertainment !

I wish it was a better recording. I've listened to the song, just an audio, and it's much better. She has tons of personality, but at least on my laptop, the mouth doesn't match up with the singing:)
